Hello
Yes you can transfer your personnalized domain name only, to another registrar. Please read the conditions here : https://help.forumotion.com/t105014-remove-transfer-a-personalized-domain-name

Re: moving server
No, as Coddy said, it is not possible. If you decide to leave Forumotion, your members will need to sign up in your new forum

Re: moving server
Your Forumotion "data" is not transferable to another host. Only your purchased Domain can be used elsewhere(another host).

Re: moving server
lol. Forumotion is a free platform for creating forums. So, forumotion can do all that the technicians want with your forum. It's a forumotion decision.craig_79 wrote:why is that though cuz its not forumations data its mine and my members
Now, to your problem. You can't transfer members from forumotion to another host, from reasons of security, and another reason: this is a free forum hosting.

Re: moving server
Forumotion does not support it, I know that it may be hard not being able to transfer your data from forum@forumotion to a paid hosting forum, especially if you have tons of posts and members, but Forumotion doesn't support this system. Furthermore, you can customize your forum with dozens of tricks & tutorials that will make your forum look more professional and smart, maybe even it will look like a paid hosting forum.

Re: moving server
Yes, as a free hosting service, Forumotion doesn't make available to his users the database of the forums hosted when they want to leave the service. All free forums hosters work the same way.

Re: moving server
not even if i paid ? to be honest i`m happy with it now its just in the furture i can see there being a problem not being able to manage the memberships on there as i`ll have to keep a note when each members membership runs out and do it all manually and starting again will be hard too as i`ve put alot into getting the members with adveristing and that
Re: moving server
So the better way to avoid this is to keep your forum with Forumotion !
In the future, if you prefer to change of service, I repeat that your database can't be transferable.
Forumotion is the only owner of the databases.

is there not any way to get the membership part that i mentioned added on i dont mind paying for it as said i`m happy with how it is but it will cause problems in the future without the membership part that you get on the paid 1`s
Re: moving server
You mean a registration fee ? No, there is no feature for that.

Re: moving server
I'm pretty sure if you get technical you, yourself can incorporate/add a feature like this into your forum, remember, Forumotion allows its users & forum members to customize their forums as much as possible without buying paid hosting. But of course not everything can be changed, this is a free host after all.

Hello !
I suggest that you open a new topic because it's a very different issue and the title of this topic has nothing to do with it.
