No you have to buy credits to remove forumotion first.

Hi!
Yeah, kirk is correct. You need to remove these ads via credits, then you should wait, say, a day. The reason is that google can't recieve the data very quickly. Then you should star with Google AdSense. You can find a lot of information about it on google, or here:

You can always place your ad's on a html pages too.
But of course you would have to create the pages and provide content on the pages that would be in your members interst, But just wanted to point out that you can add your google ad's on any html pages without having to remove forumotion ad's
