Hi David,
Hang 10, I've called in some AOL Support
In the mean time;
Have you cleared your cache/cookies?
Whats the error that appears?

Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
Yes I have cleared them the message I get is "internet explorer cannot open the webpage " have tried using different browsers but still the same
Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
Hmm, thanks for that.
Ive had a quick look at the AOL Support site, and this is from them as a potential fix:
Now, are you using it on AOL web browser, or Internet Explorer (web browser)?

Close all programs down then click Start, Settings and Control Panel. (Windows XP users, click Start and then Control Panel.)
Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
Select Microsoft Internet Explorer from the list and click Add/Remove. (Windows XP and Windows 2000 users, click Change/Remove.)
Select the option for Repair Internet Explorer.
When prompted, click OK and then Yes. When finished, click Yes to restart your computer.
Now, are you using it on AOL web browser, or Internet Explorer (web browser)?

Is there any updates for the AOL Desktop Setup?
I know nothing about AOL, so I'm following their support guides.

Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
Not sure what you mean about updates for aol desktop , sorry I do appreciate you trying to help though
Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
I am also having the same problem. It's nothing to do with browser / clearing the cache or anything. I don't know how we can fix this. It's something to do with the AOL connection to certain forumotion forums (not all for some reason).
Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
so glad that some one else knows ,wish we could sort this outNeymar1 wrote:I am also having the same problem. It's nothing to do with browser / clearing the cache or anything. Have you informed aol , I have and they said it wasn't nothing there end
Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
Thanks for sticking with us guys!
I haven't heard word from either of the I've contacted as yet.
Have you by any chance blocked the site?
If AOL Uses IE Settings, do this from IE, otherwise from AOL browser is fine
Internet/Browser options > Security > Restricted sites.
If we are there, kindly remove us
If we are not, click on 'Trusted sites' and add the following: *.forumotion.com
Click 'Add' and 'Close'
Restart the browser, and see what happens and let us know.
Also, thanks for contacting AOL for us.
Is AOL also an ISP, because Ive been searching the aol website but am still clueless at what exactly is it lol.

Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
Hi guys.
You may want to try this if you have not already done so.
Restart your modem..
Unplug your modem at the wall leave for 2 to 5 mins
If you have windows XP or 7 Go to
Start menu >>
All programs >>
Accessories >>
System Tools >>
Disk Clean up.. Tick all the little Boxes and then click OK this should clean up any un-wanted files
Now Plug your modem back in and restart your computer / Laptop.
A reboot of your modem can some times fix the little bugs that we get from time to time.
Hope this help's

Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
Ape, the forum in concern is this support forum
As a last idea, if this doesn't work, then there is an issue on AOL's end, as everyone else can visit the site so it's not on FM's end.
Windows 7/XP(/I assume visa too)
1- go to start (for windows 7, in the search box, type 'cmd', click on the first result, a black box) Run insert: 'Command Prompt' and it should open a new window, which is black and u can type into.
For Vista: I assume the instructions is the same, and the below are the same, but I have always hated vista and have no experience soo, if it's wrong, hit up google, please.
Type the following do NOT copy and paste.
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
Now, they force your computer to refresh or renew your connections to the Internet, and force the dns resolver to clear all data and get new data.
Don't worry, there is no harm done to your data
If that still does nothing, which I don't think it will do anything, let's make sure you have no connection to us via PC:
In the same box, insert:
ping help.forumotion.com
You should expect a result of 4x request time out, 100% packet loss.
Now, the numbers it came up with in brackets, you want them now.
type
ping 75.126.156.14
Normally you should expect a result of 4x replies, and a 100% packet return.
Now, being that you can't access the forum, you should expect a return of no reply and 100% packet loss
Let us know the response

Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
Huh?
I've never seen, or even heard of that.
Hit up Google, or you can ask the trustworthy people at: http://www.geekpolice.net/ - they've been around, well, longer then I have been, and are quite good.
But, to progress the issue, I believe, get in contact with AOL Again, as I don't know of any other solution- especially since only AOL is having this issue. Ask as may specific details, maybe even an ETA on the issue?
Ask f

Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
I am still having the same problem really worries me because if I get a problem with my forum I will find it hard to get help only being able to to use my phone to connect to this help forum
Re: aol and connecting to this support forum
Guys, I'm sorry this is occurring, I'll try to pass this up once again.
I don't think there's anything that ForuMotion can do, as said in the other thread about AOL Issues, as it's not coming from their side.
Neymar, I haven't been too active lately, so until the 3rd, I was only aware that it was only for David, and the support forum, my apologies.
