Many forums and hosts have many different contests going at different times.

i dont really want to see it everytime i log into the admin a new compitition i just want to see great update that going make me and mods a life better,
like a mod contral panel, post review, a better FAQ page, better statistics page or option to only view lastest update of i dont need to see competition.

Re: why so many forum competition for?
Hi,
Leeloo's giving us competition's because she cares, and wishes to give us some free credits - If there's a good movie being released, why not have a competition while it's on top of everyone's head -- it's not as fun if you have a competition up to a month after it's big release, in my opinion.
Note I don't know the real reason
The devs are ALWAYS working on new updates, they have higher priorities such as bugs, which do take a good chunk of their days, and sometimes, their weekends.
The reason for the whole no update in a long period of time - it takes quite alot of work to make a new feature, and their trying to fix a large number of bugs at the same time, plus there is a very limited number of devs, in comparison to the old days when we regularly got updates, now, there is about 5, as before, there was more then 10.
Not to note, I do believe the devs are updating the server side coding to be more modern, which will allow them to pump out more updates, with less bugs, and less time in BETA, which generally takes months of testing.
I can't confirm that, just a rumor.

Re: why so many forum competition for?
I don't see what's wrong with having many competitions. They are not detrimental to you in any way, and are here to provide the community with something to participate in and to possibly win credits.
Of course, if you are not interested then it is not obligatory to participate and you can simply ignore it.
