#2555 Facebook invite not loading

For the past week the "Facebook invite" module/apps has not been working properly. It can be located in your profile page in the top tap on the right-hand side. If you click that you will see a facebook login button if you aren't already logged into facebook, and upon clicking the login button and you login the apps will load up all your friends from facebook. Well it logs you in properly but now nothing is loading up, it just loads a blank page as if the module/apps is no longer function. But it does log you in when you click the login button so something is working about it.

I waited a week to see if the problem was fixed because I thought perhaps facebook was doing another update, but this problem has not been fixed. Its always work perfectly before in the past.

So I am asking if anyone else is having the same problem and if you don't know to please try it on your forum or another forum. I am also posting this problem to bring awareness to this issue so it might get resolved.

This "Facebook invite" feature is on phpbb 3 forums in everyone's profile pages, its a tab at the top right-hand side. I'm not sure if other forum versions have this feature, but it is a feature on phpbb 3.

I have the same problem too. I have tried logging in with FB and I logged normaly. I unlinked and relinked my fb account and still it didn't load.

I checked on Firefox, Chrome and Explorer and I get the same results.

I use phpbb2.

Yeah I think forumotion needs to update the facebook invite apps to accommodate facebook's update.

For any staff member reading this, please forward this info to the proper people so this problem can get resolved. I'm almost positive forumotion needs to update the apps.

In case this helps I tried to invite my fb friends from:

Admin Panel->General->Forum Promotion->Invite Friends->Social Networks.

I login with my account normaly but it gives "Error: Can't obtain contacts"

Tested in Firefox, Chrome and Explorer.

Thanks sig. They havent fixed it yet and we havent heard from Leeloo concerning this issue. We are still waiting for this problem that is obviously from forumotions end to get resolved. If the techs would just try to use the feature they will see that its not working.

Go to your profile page on your forum and click the "facebook invite" tab on the top right-hand side and then click the facebook login button. Once your logged in the apps will act like its loading then stop and not show anything.

I invite anyone to try it on there forum. Post your results here.

I tried again.

When I click facebook invites it has a facebook button saying "Connect". I will it to login and that's asfar as it goes.

Well this issue is still not fixed. Does anyone have any idea when they might get around to fixing this?

Same issue on my phpBB3 board. After the having solved the Facebook Connect issue (https://help.forumotion.com/t119438-facebook-connect-keeps-redirecting-me-to-the-registration-page), I could press the facebook invite once only, then it disappeared. It doesn't load or do anything. Associating and disassociating FB doesn't change anything either.

Leeloo states "Yes this feature needs an update. The technicians are actually working on it". So, when can we expect the change. According to the post's date, this has been an issue for over half a year now!
