How can I add my forum index (only one of my categories) on the portal ? Actually, it is what I saw on the portal of this Forum.

Thanks!

i didnt write the below. it works though Smile

Hello everyone!

For people who want their forum index on their portal, like on the French support : http://forum.forumactif.com

You can now use the Forum Index Generator that our friend SanDream (moderator on the French support) has just finished. I am the first to have tested this generator.

Here's the address : https://illiweb.com/ForumActif/afficherPage.php

The Web page is in French, so I put here the instructions.

1- In the "Adresse du forum" field, you type your forum address.

NOTICE :
- It must be typed without the http://...
- / \ : * ? < > |, spaces and accents must be avoided
- You mustn't forget the domain name (.forumactif.com, .forumotion.com, fr-bb.net, etc.)

For example, I type my test forum address : katt-test.forumotion.com

2- You click on "Valider"

3- Then, it will give you a script. you must then copy it ENTIRELY and then, you go in Admin Panel > yellow arrow at the bottom > Portal > Portal structure > Create a custom block > you paste the script after you clicked on the A/A icon. We recommend you to add this block in the 2nd column

And here's the results on my test forum : http://katt-test.forumotion.com/portail.htm

NOTICE : The display will depend of the index compression you chose in your Admin Panel > yellow arrow at the bottom > Configuration+

Thanks for the tips Zinex.

But I tried the generator, it says that my forum doesn't exist... :/

Same thing when I click on the test page

And here's the results on my test forum : http://katt-test.forumotion.com/portail.htm

It seems that the generator is no longer working...

the generator works fine as i just checked it Very Happy you need to put in your original forum address for example my custom name is www.pregnancy2parenting.net but the address i put in to the generator is my original domain: p2pg.free-boards.net

I finally found out that the generator only works with the phpbb version 2.

I switched to version 2, used the generator...etc

I have the index on the portal and I swithed back to version 3 (keep your pictures and colors while switching).

However, some page settings are necessary but not a big deal !

Thanks again ! Hello
