Auto-subscribe problem
Wasn't sure where to put this topic, so apologies if it's in the wrong section.
Ok, my forum is a clan based forum, what I'm trying to do is have clan members in one group and members that register on the forum automatically go into another group. The problem is that when I create an auto-subscribe group for new members to join once they register, it puts everyone on the forum in that group.
I set the minimum post number for the group to '0' so that it automatically puts new members into it once the register, but it added everyone in the forum to the group. So I tried removing the members I didn't want in that group, but it put them back in when they posted a message.
Is there a way to have a group that new members will automatically join that doesn't make the whole forum join?

Re: Auto-subscribe problem
Hi,
Those two groups must be different in post count settings for auto subscribe to make them auto subscribe in different groups if I understood you correctly. Any other way you'll have to add people manually.

Re: Auto-subscribe problem
The 'clan group' isn't auto-subscribe based. The problem is that because the post count for the member group is 0, everyone on the forum joins, which isn't what I want. I just want new forum members in that group.

Re: Auto-subscribe problem
You will not be able to really use the auto-subscribe group for new members. If you make 0 posts, everyone on the forum will be added to the group. You will have to manually do the new members group.
