When I post on a thread, the icon changes to tell me a new post has been posted - This is the post I have just posted, why is this happening? Happening with various members.

It could be that the page is not loading completely before you load another page so it is treating it as a new post.

I don't understand why you are saying its not a big problem...Its still a problem, that needs fixing.

WOW...It's still a problem!!

It still would have been nice to know if it was a glitch rather than assuming it is...And also assuming the issue would be fixed.

Surely you should be getting facts rather than making assumptions.

I will just wait to see if the "problem" gets fixed

Maybe you have slow internet and it's lag that's making you double post.

If it already posts it and says there's been a post made which IS your post, then just go to the main page. That simple.

Like Rideem said, it's not a really big problem.

Like I keep saying Its still a problem, although not a big one - I haven't once said it was a big problem.

I dont have slow internet, its most likely a glitch (as Rideem has said) but I wanted facts. Its not just me this is happening to, its all the posters...Its annoying more than anything.

To answer your question: Its annoying because you have to go back into the topic to make the icon dis-appear.

Like most forum users, they will go to posts that they have not read before by making use of the new post notification (This is what it's for.)

"Technically your post is a new post to the topic and therefore the image should show."

I'm sure you know this shouldn't happen really, so I won't argue it out with you.

I came on to here for support and answers to my query and frankly your support of answering with "Just don't mind it since its not really a problem" and then defining what a "big" problem is, then suggesting it should happen, is not my idea of support.

Not sure if this could be the problem, since I see you use IE, try using another web browser. Like I said, I don't really think this is a problem but IE has many problems with it.

Anyways, you said you wanted facts. We can't really make it a fact saying "It's a glitch, it's a fact" because glitches happen randomly.

I will wait. Thanks

The facts that I was looking for was "it is a glitch" not "It could be a glitch"
