Hi there, I want to create a referral bar. Like, it's optional when users sign up to type in the referral code for people who invited them.

Create a profile field:
Administration Panel > Users & Groups > Users > Users Profiles
Check the yes box for necessary filled so it will appear while a member is registering.

There is no way of automatically doing this, as far as I know.
