In progress domain name problems

hello, i recently set up and perchased the domain www.fingerboardhq.net from go daddy

my forum domain at the moment is www.fingerboardhq.darkbb.com


when i set up the .net with me origional one it just forwarded the domain to my website, i called go daddy and they told me to ask "forumotion" for the ip of my website or something, and add it to the domain,

i went on "find my website's ip" and that did not work, please help!

all i need is a step by step guide on how to set up my domain to work naturally with my forum

the 2nd one is impossible to follow when using go daddy, go daddy's interface is fucked -_-, Has anyone done it with go daddy??
