Solved Unable To Edit HTML Pages Properly

Post by OnTheBusesCrazy January 3rd 2013, 1:53 am

I am the owner of: http://www.keepingupappearancesfanclub.com/ (this is a forumotion forum) and I am unable to now edit any HTML pages on my website at all via the HTML pages management unless I write all the coding myself, which I am unable to do.

In Chrome:
It will not even let me open up the HTML editing box at all.

In Internet Explorer:
I am able to open up the HTML editing box but unable to add any images or click on any of the icons for the editing box.

In Opera:
I am able to open up the HTML editing box and add images but I am unable to add any hyperlinks.

Can somebody suggest an Internet browser that I can use to edit the HTML pages on my website? Or if there are any downloads/add-ins that I need to get?

Thanks.

In Chrome:
The red/green HTML button will not appear.

In IE & Opera:
The button is red.

Are you editing HTML pages or the templates?

What do you mean you can't edit it?

You can't use the HTML editing box in chrome. If you really need it, use Firefox. It's a better browser than IE or Opera.

And what's wrong with writing out the HTML yourself? That's how you learn. Wink

In IE or Opera the editing box does not work - it seems to think the editing box is an image and when clicking on it -nothing happens. I am unable to add images or website links in IE and unable to add website links in Opera. I click the button to add an image or a website link and nothing happens.

Can't learn all that coding - too complicated - that is not where my skills lie.

I will try Firefox later - but why is it not working in Opera and IE?

How can I add website links then? How can I add images to these pages then? I do not know how to do code - the WYSIWYG box used to work for the first few years I had my forum - so why does it not work now?

To add images:
Code:
<img src="IMAGEURL" />

To add links:
Code:
<a href="URL">Text</a>

Thank you. It would be nice for forumotion to resolve the problem soon, especially for forum users like myself who actually pay for the services of forumotion.

Thanks for your help.
