Moderators not able to delete posts
My moderators cannot delete posts. They get this message:
Sorry, but only administrators can delete posts in this forum.
They can edit the post, but not delete it.
Can anyone help with this?

Hi,
Try checking the permission for both Forum and User-Group.
(ACP >> General >> Categories & Forums >>
& >> Users & Groups >> Group Administration >>
)

Re: Moderators not able to delete posts
How have you added the moderators to the forum? (Have you added them using the moderators group? )
I've never personally used the moderators group. Since on the sites I've worked for, we've had different moderators for different boards, I've created separate usergroups for each moderator, and assigned permissions for that "usergroup" for mod privileges individually for each board. It's a neat solution if you need different moderators for different boards, and I've never run across problems with it in my experience.
If you are using global moderators, I've noticed that the default moderators group does not actually assign moderator privileges to any boards by default. Go to ACP -> Users and Groups -> Group administration, then click the moderators group. Head to the permissions tab, and then enable the moderator privileges for all boards in there.
EDIT: Whoops didn't see Sir Chavas' post.

All ok on both spots, so that should not be the problem I guess.
In the C&F there is a check under "moderate" and U&G there is a check before "is moderator"
Still getting the message. Any other suggestion? thx in advance

Re: Moderators not able to delete posts
Try checking the users' permission. If this doesn't help, please provide an account that has access to the Administration Panel for to me to check out your settings. Thank you.

Re: Moderators not able to delete posts
Sorry, all ok now, I checked "delete own messages" and now mods are able to delete posts of their own but also others...
Rather starnge that it says "own messages" and not just any messages...
Can be locked
