Yes. the slow loading content is always from dnspro.org, because a javascript for the toolbar is hosted there.

The best you can do is temporarily disable the bar for awhile until the initial rush of people is over. If not then you'll just have to wait it out and hopefully something will change.

I've just enabled the toolbar in my forum, so I'm still figuring out how it works (no notifications yet, I feel lonely... oh hey I just got one). However, I noticed it doesn't work with touch events, so if you're using a tablet or a phone you can't click the 'welcome' and 'notifications' menus. On the other hand, the hide button works.

Also, it would be nice if it was smaller. At 30px, it's bigger than the general graphical elements on our forum (such as the navbar) and so it sticks out. I tried to see if I could do something with CSS, but when you activate the menu the Javascript specifically sets the 'left' attribute on the popup menu, and ends up showing it at the wrong spot.

Finally, the logo says 'Forumotion' but our site is hosted at motionforum, so that's a bit weird

Totally agree. It's like putting a big flashing sign on the post saying 'read me'.

So, while I like this option, I'd prefer it to be even more flexible so that it hides the messages and can't be read by members.

In the latest tip about adding your own item to the toolbar menu via Javascript, it doesn't work, it just changes the title of the existing item (the code is almost identical to the tip before). To add an item, you can do this,

That inserts 'Favourite Topics' just before the last separator.

I LOVEThe new v2 toolbar! Thanks so much for doing that, FM techs.

My users didn't find it obvious that the 'Welcome blah' was actually a menu. I added a bit of CSS to add an arrow after it,

#fa_welcome:after, #fa_notifications:after { content: " \25BE";}

I also did a :hover highlight of them.

Just one suggestion: i think it should be possible change the location of the bar. For example, for the bottom/top.

I like this idea but I did my arrow with an image, because Internet Explorer didn't read that \25BE character correctly, at least IE-8 didn't, but FF read it correctly, it was a hollow square box what should have been a down arrow with IE, so I use an arrow image instead.

Great updates to the toolbar, I like the avatar in the welcome menu and the posts and reputation count as well.

I stopped using the toolbar because there wasn't an easy configuration like the other systems that Forumotion provides - and to edit it the only way would be to use CSS. HOWEVER, with this new update - it's made a difference and I've started using it again for the players of my forum.

Unless the toolbar can tell me which "watched topic" has been replied to, I won't be using it. I have hidden it on here but it keeps popping back up

You get a notification when a new post has occurred in your watched topics: A new post in a watched topic.

I wasn't convinced yet, until the V2 was released. I'm glad there's an ACP link in it. Thank you Forumotion!

It would be nice if we could force certain devices such as the Wii or 3DS to use the mobile version to improve their experience since those devices have outdated browsers that can't be changed.

Is this going to change later in the future? It does affect the forum since you have to deactivate the JS.

First, please post in the good topic next time.

I don't ask to the user to delete them, but only to check them.
There's something in the Javascript codes that prevent the mobile version to work correctly, so it's his duty to find out which one is concerned and what's causing this issue.
