Clean-up a forum

I have a very stupid question, which i just cannot answer myself. The forums in my site have for example 3 pages each, and what i want to ask is HOW CAN I CLEAN UP THE MESAGES, WITHOOUT DELETING THE WHOLE FORUM?

I'd say the easiest way would be to go into the forum you wish to cleanup, find the link "moderate this forum" at the bottom of the page, mark all the threads and click delete.
