Chrome and safari users facing problems
Hi Guys,
ever since its inception, members of my forum who log in via Chrome/Safari face problems in copy pasting the images or embedding the videos ..while fire fox users have no such problems..Although I suggested updating their versions/reinstalling the SW again..The problem persists ... Need help urgently on this please

Re: Chrome and safari users facing problems
Sanket ,
while the members using Firefox can copy the image directly from Google and paste it on to their post ... The users of Chrome cannot do the same , They have to copy the url, insert it in image insert ...
As for video embedding ... The user copies the Url from YT but the YT tab simply does not take it in n reflect the code..The margin for code insertion remains blank..while one or 2 users got sorted after reinstalling the chrome...Many are still complaining that despite reinstalling, the problem continues ..

Copy pasting the images:
Hit the a/A then copy paste the image & check.
See if that works.

Re: Chrome and safari users facing problems
The WYSIWYG editor isn't supported in Webkit browsers due to the fact the editor was written about 7 years ago, before Chrome existed and before Safari used Webkit. Hence it does not support them and it has not been updated.

Re: Chrome and safari users facing problems
The only thing I know if is turning off the WYSIWYG editor completely for all members. But I'm not a mod/admin here so I could be wrong.

Re: Chrome and safari users facing problems
Hi golden,
Would not that mean that even FF users will be unable to copy paste the image directly on to their post ??

Re: Chrome and safari users facing problems
WYSIWYG translates to "What you see is what you get." meaning, that like the Chrome users, they would actually have to use the
tag in order to insert the image.
Turning off the WYSIWYG configuration would force ALL members of your forum to learn the proper tags to format their posts.
