Should there be notifications about your friends that have been banned?
Should There Be Notifications (toolbar) About Your Friends Who Have Been Ban?
I believe there should be a new notification added to the toolbar that deals with your friends list. This new notification will notify you about which of your friends have been ban from the forum. This way it easy to remove them from your friends' list.

Re: Should There Be Notifications (toolbar) About Your Friends Who Have Been Ban?
I agree and have voted yes to this suggestion. I once had quite a number of friends on a forum once and I cleared all the banner members away. However, this process took around 20 minutes and I can honestly say checking every profile was a pain.
So I voted yes. Plus this would encourage people to use the toolbar which is always a nice thing

I voted yes So We wouldn't have too go true every profile on our friends list too delete our banned friends...
Re: Should There Be Notifications (toolbar) About Your Friends Who Have Been Ban?
I voted Yes as I think that this is quite an easy to notice who is to be purged from my friend list.
Thank you for suggesting this, SLGray

Re: Should There Be Notifications (toolbar) About Your Friends Who Have Been Ban?
No I see no need for this. As you can just put banned under that members username on the banned members profile. Though some forums put them into a banned members usergroup to keep track of who has been banned. So I voted no.

However that doesn't really help this suggestion as this suggestion is all about helping track friends i.e people on your friends list who have been banned so that way you can remove them from your friends list instead of having to go through all your friends to see who needs to be deleted. Personally I think its a quite useful suggestion

Correct. It make it easier where you would not have to go through each profile to see the rank. Just imagine if you had 1,000 friends would you want to go through each profile?Derri wrote:Andrea Borman wrote:No I see no need for this. If you do not have friends, you can just uncheck the box for ban friends notifications.candy_fear wrote:It is a very good idea , my vote is Yes but if you don't have friends hehe

Yeah exactly and to be honest, if you don't have friends then you can always just keep it checked for that day when you do add friends to your friends list.
Although would this notification just be for a second e.g. When a friend connects to the forum it displayed "Blah - Has connected"
Would it appear as this or would it be a notification like a friend request in which it stay and you can click on it etc?

Re: Should There Be Notifications (toolbar) About Your Friends Who Have Been Ban?
Actually I think a notification such as that would have a negative aura about it and would be best to not mention it at all. The best way to handle the problem presented here, with the deleting of banned members from your friends list, would be for the forum to automatically remove all banned members from it globally.
So perhaps the better suggestion would be for the developers to implement a mass removal of all banned members from friend lists in the same fashion it can globally hide all the banned members posts if you have it set to do so in your admin panel, or something similar to it.
I don't like the idea of notifications being sent about negative events, so I'm going to vote no on this particular suggestion, because I think there are better ways to handle it.

Re: Should There Be Notifications (toolbar) About Your Friends Who Have Been Ban?
Well I believe that this is helpful because it helps members keep track of their friends who are not banned from the forum.
