Make notifications clear automatically after they are viewed?

I think after you see a notification it should be automatically removed from the notification drop down list.
A little annoying to go back and press X on each one..

what do others think?

Guys I've got a tip for you.

Double Click the notification bar and that marks all notifications as read. I do it all the time and it works nicely.

Good tip. I will try it.
But just like I didn't know, the users wouldn't know and I strive to make their experience as easy and smooth as possible.. that being said if one day it could clear it out automatically I think that would be a plus.
