Forum is too skinny? Empty Forum is too skinny?

Post by Austin IMVU June 30th 2013, 11:39 pm

Hello Everyone,

I have a issue with my forum. It appears too skinny that my ranks get cut off.
I do know if this has to do with the theme I am using or the maybe the
percentage of my width for the forum isn't big enough. The percentage is set to 100.
Even with that, I still have the same problem.

I want my forum to be as big as this one http://www.gasrforum.com/
Hope someone can help me with this. I would greatly appreciate it.

Whats getting cut off the rank or rank image?
do you have the users set to a rank?
Please provide your fourm url it would help.

Edit to add: ok i saw what the issue is the issue is that the rank images your are using are JPGs and are wider then the view on the post body. Try other rank images that are smaller and in the Png format. Pngs are much better ( in my opinion) and are easier to work with.

The author has not posted his Forum's URL.
The URL he provided is of the forum's size he is referring to.

My Forum

This is what I was referring to. That my ranks
get cut off I agree I will have to make them smaller.

The iSSUE  Too Skinny?

What I meant was, everything is too close together.
I like a big wide forum like This one?

Also, is there anyway I can put the ranks on TOP
of the profile picture like they have Here?

Administration Panel > Display
It should listed here: phpBB 2, phpBB 3, punBB, or Invision.

This is mine

http://gyazo.com/47813b934386c969188131f8c115bb88

So is this the smallest one or can I get something better
depending on the theme I picked. I already know how
to change the background and the icons I think?

Do you want to change versions? You can use any themes from Hitskins.

Yes, I would like to change versions. I'm looking around and I really like
phpBB2 that way I can fully customize it the way I want. I might give it
a try. I hope it will be as wide as the forums I mentioned above in earlier posts by me.

Go to hitskins and install the phpBB 2 theme you like, and your forum version will be change, too.
