i look like they got rid of dodgy forums but a lot of forumotion sub domains are still being blacklisted by norton which is effecting everyone rating on search engine i'm not even sure if our forums will even get our good ranking back our name may be dirty forever now.

if someone give me the full list of sub domains i will find out which one are blacklist and tech or who ever can sent emails to norton to get them to undo the blacklist.

i been waiting to long we need to fix this problem i willing to use my time for free to sort this mess out. just give me an full list of forumotion sub domains

i did an few F not all, i can safely say i have found an mayor problem on forumotion i have been reporting this problem for over 2 month now why is it not being fix? how longer do i have to wait?

having so many forums blacklisted is going to effect everyones ranking on search engines for god sake!! i will put money forumtion is making less money then they used to do and you all should be getting ready to elsewhere if you want an popular forum. if my search engine drop down anymore i could have any choices i will have to move to my own hosting.

the sub domain that begins with F (remember i only less then half)

This is insane, I can't believe Norton did this to forumotion. All we can do Steve is report what we have done already, its not your fault or mine, its more forumotions problem because they will be hit in the pocketbook, whereas I won't be, not sure if you are financially invested in your forum or not, but I'm not. Nevertheless I don't like this one bit, its giving my forum an undeserved blackeye, and me as well. I will not wait forever on this, my forum is very public being on facebook and I'm very public on YouTube, and I won't have my name run through the mud like this.

You pay more than most people pay to have there ads removed because your forum is big? I don't pay anything to have my ads removed because my forum was created in 2008 before forumotion had ads, so my forum was grandfathered in to not having any ads for life.

Solved Re: [Only Topic] subdomain that been black listed

Post by runawayhorses July 22nd 2013, 3:55 am

I'm reporting that I have not received any additional information through all of this, no insight as to the outcome of this rather embarrassing misfortune on forumotions part. No I am not embarrassed in any shape, fashion, or form, because its not my doing that forumotion is in this situation to begin with. Its there fault, and theirs alone. I'm concerned for them, their management judgement is in question. They are becoming a risk, an uncertainty. In a nutshell, they're not showing the world, or this community that they know what they're doing. They got in this situation themselves by negligence, by not addressing the issues at hand in a timely fashion.

I do not hesitate or wait for days to address issues like this server does, and there lackadaisical actions and attitude will ultimately be their demise.

I'm a supporter of forumotion, I have stood by this forum host for years and have defended this company on many levels on various occasions. And unfortunately I feel a very negative feeling about forumotion and its future at this given time.

The text editor almost did them in, it was a disaster and no doubt ran off a lot of people. I have seen a lot through the years and I must tell you this is the most "negative" event I have ever seen with this forum host. This situation not only jeopardizes their future as a player in the forum host industry, but it also is a blow to their reputation as a sever and host. This is big-time, it has spiraled into something going as far as to give the people that have joined this server a possibility of ruining their reputations.

What makes matters worst is that this situation for better or for worst is without comfort from anyone that runs things that they apologize for this and understand that you also have a reputation to uphold. The simple fact that this is being put on hold until some person is scheduled to address the issue is unacceptable. Our need is now, not at your convenience. Our emergency is not open to a time-frame that is comfortable to you, our reputations are at stake, and if you feel my emotions and point you will get off your uneducated [Language] and address this issue.

I seriously don't want to sit by and watch this server "forumotion" ruin itself and deteriorate, and that's exactly whats going to happen if you continue to ignore with arrogance and not address big-time names like "Norton" who are giants in the internet business who have way more "Paying" subscribers than you could ever possibly imagine.

Please remember we are only voluntary staff here.  Only The GodFather is the official Forumotion person right now.  He has many things that he has to deal with support forums, updates, fixing errors/bugs, etc.  All we can do is report this to The GodFather and wait until he responds, sorry.

Please try to stay calm.

Thanks sig for your thoughts and idea I appreciate it very much, you have always tried to help and advise when you can and have helped me become a better coder as a result, and I see that and acknowledge it.

I think it might do you some good to post your forum link on facebook as a test to see what happens when you click the link, I know you probably don't want to see the result but it might shed some light in a realistic way for you. I just want you to see whats happening.

Wow I just tried it too and you're right it loaded just fine. I had wrote facebook about this by clicking that link that said "if you feel this is incorrect tell us", as you can see in the screenshot I posted earlier, so maybe they read it and realized my forum is not what Norton says it is. Maybe this situation is resolved and Norton lifted the blacklist against forumotion, in any event my forum link is indeed back to normal as it should be.

I'll keep an eye on this issue as I'm sure others will too, but for now it looks like my forum is off Norton's blacklist as it should be.

thanks sig.

the issue is:-

an spammer or someone who doesn't like formotions has made forums on just about every sub domain on forumotion and place spam or some type of an virus on these forums has blacklist by norton the the hole sub-domains instead just that forum just example if this forum had a it on virus-forum.forumotion.com every forum with .forumotion.com will now be blacklisted.

also google as pick up about these forum that are blacklists.
