Do you agree yes or no?
Addition of a Staff Chat/ideas for current chat additions.
As of right now I have found a separate chat services that allows me to add a free chat box with an embed code. I have added it into my Homepage message so that it is above the forumotion chat box. The feature I like most is that it is password protected so that only staff can use it. I placed it above the sites chat box so that staff can have conferences in the staff chat while still being logged into the forumotion chat just below it allowing for chat moderation while a staff chat is going on. I really wish that a feature like this was offered through forumotion as it is a very useful feature to have.
Alternatively the existing chat (possibly) could be edited to support a staff only channel to it that can be triggered by anyone with moderation rights in chat box, though I really don't like that option that much as it gets rid of the ability to easily keep tabs on both chats. Though by adding the option to create channels would be a nice feature on its own. People could use it for collab post making and could also do private instant messaging chats rather than having to rely solely on PMs, which bog down response time quite a bit, to have on site private chats.
The last option would be to add a chat command that makes it where only moderators and admins can be logged into chat. This would be a good comprise as it would be but a simple command that would kick out all non-moderators and prevent regular members from joining the chat while the staff have a meeting.
Now on a quick side note I would also love to have a silence/gag command that simply makes it where the account effected can't say anything but can still view chat. I would use this after a kick to help get the message across, or simply ignore a kick and immediately silence the person. It just adds another option that goes in between kicking and banning someone.
These are just a few suggestions of some features that could potentially be quite a good addition to the forumotion chat box feature. Please let me know what you all think to these ideas. Which ones do you like best, which do you like least, any additional thoughts? Also don't forget to vote.

All of that already exists with the Avacweb chatbox. What it does is take your forum chatbox and add new features to it, which include private chat rooms for staff or members, and many other features.
It would probably be a very long time should forumotion ever implement those features if they ever did.
You can view the Avacweb promotion thread here on the support forum and visit the Avacweb forum to get the code to the chatbox.
