Solved Switching Domains

Post by Rogo August 18th 2013, 9:48 pm

We are looking at switching our board over to phpbb but we have a domain through forumotion. Is there a way we can transfer it over to the new hosting package? I assume the domain is locked through forumotion. Any info regarding the process to switch would be greatly appreciated.

Admin Panel=> Display=> Skins=> Choose a Theme=> Version
you can change your forum to phpBB2, phpBB3, punBB or Invision there
NOTE: please keep in mind by doing this you will lose your current CSS stuff, and you will have to choose a new skin under "skins" then

EDIT: I think i might've misunderstood the problem/question. My bad.

if you completely want to switch everything onto a new domain im almost positive that cant be done

I just want the domain name, not the info from the forum.

Since the domain name is purchased through forumotion its unlikely that you can have it transferred as I believe its only done is exceptional circumstances.

Here: Read this https://help.forumotion.com/t105014-remove-transfer-a-personalized-domain-name

It's the second post down.
