Hi Sir. Mayo,

I believe you can add more to the template here:
Admin Panel > Display > Templates > General

Open the template called index_box and find this portion:
Code:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" align="center">
 <tr>
 <td valign="bottom">
 <!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in -->
 <span class="gensmall">{LAST_VISIT_DATE}<br />
 {CURRENT_TIME}<br />
 </span>
 <!-- END switch_user_logged_in -->
 <div class="nav"><a class="nav" href="{U_INDEX}">{L_INDEX}</a>{NAV_CAT_DESC}</div>
 </td>
 <td class="gensmall" align="right" valign="bottom">
 <!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in -->
 <a class="gensmall" href="{U_SEARCH_NEW}">{L_SEARCH_NEW}</a><br />
 <a class="gensmall" href="{U_SEARCH_SELF}">{L_SEARCH_SELF}</a><br />
 <!-- END switch_user_logged_in -->
 <a class="gensmall" href="{U_SEARCH_UNANSWERED}">{L_SEARCH_UNANSWERED}</a>
 </td>
 </tr>
</table>
It should be directly at the top of the template, you can then add on to the table or stylize it if you like. From where you have 'here' you should place your content above/before the variable '{LAST_VISIT_DATE}'.

I am not sure as I have not used those variables in the index_box template. If I'm correct I believe they may not work.

I think you can use "normall" forum variables. You can find that in Admin panel -> General -> forum -> Configuration. Then you will see down of Forum name "Decipton*" click on *, and you will see variables.

I tested the variables you mentioned in my test forum template however, they did not show up. So I suppose they do not work in the templates?

You can try. You can't lose anything. You can try some of that variables, when you edit template click on save, and than on + to add template.

It can be work. If not just click on x.

click on x delete templare. Try if are all work. If not, tell us, if yes, work next:

Now in your templare (don't using this on forum) add that variables.
And try than are all work.
