Referral Page & MySQL
I was wondering if there anyway to make a referral page for the forums.
Also I was wondering if there's anyway to have access to mySQL or install it on our forums. I would also like to be able to access and customize the database if possible.

No that is not possible, you would need access to the PHP files and that is not an option with forumotion forums.Drunk3nGaming wrote:Also I was wondering if there's anyway to have access to mySQL or install it on our forums. Re: Referral Page & MySQL
Okay I have better question. Is there a way to make a referral page on our forums and to somehow make a list of the people they have referred who have gotten to a certain rank.

Re: Referral Page & MySQL
I suppose so if you are creative with javascripts it could be done. I havent heard of anyone doing that so I wouldn't know if anyone here could write such a script. They would need a lot of detail as to exactly what you're looking for. You would have much better luck at a forum that specializes in javascripts designed for forumotion forums. Might I suggest you take a look at this forums "Promotion" sections and look at some forum descriptions, and find one that deals with javascripts.
Good luck.
Edit: After reading this again you could make a list yourself using html, by creating a html page then linking it to your forum index page.
You can create html pages at:
AP>>Modules>>
On that page scroll all the way down until you see "HTML management" and click that. From their you can create html pages.

I tried looking for them, but it's kind of hard to find where I can find those javascript forums because some of them are inactive.

Re: Referral Page & MySQL
I have tried registering to that site many times, but it doesn't give me an email confirmation or just gives me a "Check out our newest tutorial using the newest tutorial: Status Updat"
page with nothing else not even asking me to confirm or resend email to verify.
The website that you gave me might be bugged, I've tried it in all 3 browser for chrome, mozilla, and ie.

Re: Referral Page & MySQL
Try logging in with what you registered with. Maybe the site doesn't require activation via an email.

I have checked my email many times already and have tried logging in and doesn't seem to work.

Re: Referral Page & MySQL
Well that site does use an abundance of javascripts, I have noticed that myself, and could be causing the problem, I wouldn't doubt it for a moment.
I would suggest going to this topic here and post that you are having trouble registering. If you can get on that site I think they can help you with what you want.

Re: Referral Page & MySQL
Hi,
You can create a new profile field from "Administration Panel ~> Users & Groups ~> Users ~> Profiles" named "Referral" or something like this and make it required for registering. When a user will register on the forum, he can write the name of the user told him about the forum. I don't think there exists another way.
