Reputation points
Hello,
Move my post if I have posted it in wrong section .
My question is, I've seen a forum administrator adjusting reputation points in no time. And I read a topic in forumotion forum stating that the reputation points cannot be adjusted.
However, from what I saw, that forum admins have the ability to change the reputation points (I've seen several users with -10000+ reputation points). Is it possible to do so?
If that consists of HTML, can you guys teach me how?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Reputation points
The only way I know how to adjust someones reputation points is by first setting the points plus or minus to the amount you want to give them or take away.
Do that at:
AP>>Modules>>Points and reputation>>Reputation>>Reputation management>>
On that page set an amount of the points in a forum that the person you want to adjust the points for posted in, and save the settings. Then go to their post (in that forum) and vote for them. Then go back to: AP>>Modules>>Points and reputation>>Reputation>>Reputation management>> and set the points back to the way you had it.

Re: Reputation points
No, that's not what I meant.
Because I've seen an admin adjusting a member's reputation points from 100+ to -10000 (or somewhere below).
However, that forum's reputation system is set in default (which means upvote & downvote +-1 point, and thanks +3). And that forum is an FM forum.

Re: Reputation points
I know exactly what you mean, and that's how its done like I explained. They changed the default for a moment to alter the rep vote.
Re: Reputation points
Are you referring to reputation or points? They are two different things.
The points can be manually changed, but reputation can not.

You are correct except that will reply to everyone, not just a certain member.runawayhorses wrote:uh, yes they can SLG just like I explained in my post, I've even done it before, it works.SLGray wrote:The points can be manually changed, but reputation can not.

Re: Reputation points
No it won't, you do it in 15 seconds and change the settings back to the way they were. No one is effected but the member you voted for in that 15 second time-frame.SLGray wrote:You are correct except that will reply to everyone, not just a certain member.runawayhorses wrote:uh, yes they can SLG just like I explained in my post, I've even done it before, it works.SLGray wrote:The points can be manually changed, but reputation can not.

The 15 second time-frame is an estimation of how long it will take you to vote for the person and put the settings back to normal. I recommend opening two windows. I've used this method before to give points and to take away, it only effects the member you voted for in that time-frame.
I've used it to give someone back reputation points because they were wrongfully voted down by an abuser voter, and I've used it to take away reputation points from the abuser. I let them know every time they voted someone down in an abusive fashion I would take away reputation points from them. It stopped their abuse. lol
