using a swf for my header banner

Im unable to use a swf for a header banner, is there another way to use it or upgrade? Says file format isnt supported

You can't use that format. All what you can do is change format.

As Zyon has mentioned you cannot use that file in pics management as it is usually embedded. You can however, use Animated GIF files which pretty much will have the same effect.

Yeah that will work to play a swf file, but what they need now is instructions on where to put it. I think the template but I'm unsure of where since they are using phpbb2.

Using a gif like seth mentioned might be the easiest way to go for their purposes.
