One of my untrusted idiots keep saying a bad word I censored. Is that a problem?

I think my Word Censoring is broken.

Word censoring Empty Re: Word censoring

Hm... after doing some tests here and there i noticed it is the same on my forums. Furthermore, it seems to only censor every second word (in one element). I first have applied the settings in my word censors as seen in my screenshot below, then I've done a test post with only posting "banana ". You see the output results in the screenshot as well.

Word censoring Wordce10

Can someone confirm this for their forums as well. Then I think I could probably move that to the Tech-Forum...

I was able to fix mine- it's seems that it didn't like my word being in parenthesis. Maybe it does'nt like more than one star being in the replace it with feilds... Anyways- got mine working now Smile

Word censoring Empty Word Censoring - each word

Post by Seth424 January 1st 2009, 11:21 pm

I have a question that maybe someone can help me with. I am very new to this so I do not know all the ropes yet. I discovered the word censoring requires you to enter the words in which you do not want discussed on your site but my problem is I do not use any foul language at all. I am creating this forum to be attached to a web site for SIDS because my 3 month old son passed away from SIDS 4 months ago. I am stuck right now because of the word censoring and the issue that I do not want to have to enter all these words. Is there a format that can be copied and pasted so I can avoid this stressful situation I am dealing with.

I'm sorry for your loss.
I do not know of any format.
And unfortunately even if you don't use foul language, and don't expect anyone else to, they do seem to come up sometimes.
If it isn't something you wish to deal with, maybe you could appoint someone else as admin to take over that job.
It might be better in the long run if foul language would be upsetting to the members in forum

Thanks for your help. I think that I will have to resort to having someone else enter the words for me because I really just don't want to
