Solved Malware Has Infected This Domain

Post by Raven14 December 8th 2013, 2:23 pm

site url:  http://www.taggersgonemad.com/forum

I've been having problems for the past few days when I display the login page to my group.  I am getting an "update your java" ad and when I click the page off, my mouse arrow becomes jumpy and moves on its own.  I have to run my antivirus and Ccleaner to stop this.

Now, just this morning a member has sent the following message to me...

"every-time I come to the site a big red screen pops up and says I can not come in that malware has infected this domain and then the only way I get on is if I click the proceed at your own risk...."

Please help someone because I would like for this issue to be resolved and asap.

Thank you
Cin S

Hi there Legolas.  I don't think it is my antivirus causing this problem, but I use MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials)

My group is ad free, but not for guest.  I am thinking it has to do with the ad that is displayed before members actually login.

The problem is with the login page.

Can you make a test account, with no moderation or administration acces ? Please, make a very easy password, like this: parrot12345 and be sure it's different to your password!
Thanks!

OK, how do I make a test account?

In my first post I put the forum URL and I sign in at the portal page which is this url...

http://www.taggersgonemad.com/

This is where I'm getting the fake Java update message with malware.

Solved Re: Malware Has Infected This Domain

Post by Raven14 December 8th 2013, 3:13 pm

I have the malware ad to pop up each time I login to my group.

After I login everything appears fine and dandy, but at least 2 fake java ads will open in a new tab each time that I'm actually in and posting at my group.

When I "close" these tags, my mouse starts jumping around on the page even after I close out of my group, the pointer is out of my control and I have to run MSE and Ccleaner to get rid of this problem with the mouse.  It happens every time the fake java ad pops up.

And just this morning a member sent the PM that I posted in my very first, lead post.

There is something wrong with my group login page and there is defo malware there or I wouldn't be getting the popup tabs for the fake java update.  It opens a whole page in a new tab.

As mentioned in a previous post, my group is adfree.

I will post a screen shot when the message pops up again.  I haven't had the popup since before I signed in today.

Another member says she is getting the "java update" ad as well as other pop up messages.

This has just started to happen in the past week.

Hello SL Gray.  It happens both on my laptop and my desktop computers.

Here is the ad...it just popped up in a new browser about 5 minutes ago.  I didn't downsize so that you could read the url  at the top...I hope it will upload here ok.

Hello

There is no link with your forum adn Forumotion.
This problem probably comes from your computer. I advise you to clean up your cookies, malwares,...
You can use "Malwarebutes (anti-malware) and "adwcleaner" that are free and useful tools to clean up computer.

Solved Re: Malware Has Infected This Domain

Post by Raven14 December 9th 2013, 2:32 pm

Thank you again.  I did run the adwcleaner, but now I'm getting an error message upon starting up windows.  The message is...

There was a problem starting

C:\Users\Cindy\AppData\Local\TBHostSupport\TBHostSuppor.dll

The specified module could not be found.

Do you know how I can stop this error message upon startup?  Does it need to be fixed?

I know I'm not supposed to double post here but I've found the prob.

http://www.herdprotect.com/tbhostsupport.dll-60a882dfb633b1179ec55f395f1862192babe03a.aspx

I am removing this from Startup and going to log off and back in to see if I get this same message.

The puzzling part about this in Startup is that Microsoft is the publisher of this Startup file, but according to the info I've read from the link above, this gets into the registry and runs when the user starts up the computer.
