Do you want to still have the MSN contact field in your profile?

I don't need it.

In fact, maybe that whole Contacts field could be redone. Why not allow users to select which ones to fill out (from an Image/Text list). Currently there are nine listed by default. Maybe reduce it to four. Admin as usual chooses to add more fields if they like. Just a thought.

In my opinion the filed is no longer useful as MSN doesn't operate any more and to a large extent is now obsolete to things like Skype.

I barely used MSN, I use skype now from time to time. Obsolete is going to be thrown around so much on this topic

I don't use it. It's much obsolete now.

MSN is dead, esp as Skype is owned by Microsoft now, better to give admins the choice of what to put in the contacts, esp as there is the likes of Skype, oovoo, ect, and why do we need the print thing in there, as I'd never herd of it before, but I had herd of the others,

Any chance of a vote for the "humor" profile field? It's kinda weird that it has to be shown everywhere, even though it's probably the most pointless of all fields?

I believe it is not needed if MSN is becoming obsolete.

Never knew what MSN was in a first place. I personally have no use for it.

Vote No. I didn't use it for many years. Personally, I think FM should delete rarely-use other contact fields too : Meebo (a part of Google), Google Talk (rewrite code to Hangouts) ,IRC and ICQ.

I agree with sarkzkalie01 we should get rid of all rarely used or closed contact services including all he said above and whatever AIM Address is.

AIM is AOL's chat thing, I used it once or twice about 10 years ago, its probably less used than MSN, well they even call MSN windows live messenger anyway.

It would be great if we had a list of options to choose from (drop down selection), also I don's see a use for things like zodiac, that Chinese one. that are floating around the admin panel.

The most used things now are Skype, OOVOO, Meebo, IRC and Jabber, but most of these now are being taken over in popularity by Skype,

This isn't to do with that, its to do with the removal of the MSN filed in the user profile across all Forumotion''s forums.

really no need to have it now there is no MSN is there and skype is still a tool and there one now so what is the point of keeping some thing that will not really work anymore?

MSN's still useful to me since it's the only thing available that my love ones use (Crappy comp) .=

Maybe it could be removed as a default one, but leave it as a choice to create a customized contact field.

me i would get rid of them all... letting people be friends on your forum will kill your forum! clicky groups form there no end of problems that why i turn off pms and remove these options and that why my forum has lasted so long

And for me this is no... I never use any of the contact fields personally and end up "removing" (by that I mean making them invisible to members) them all anyway.
