How to take backup of my forum posts to my PC...

Hi all,

I have registered a forum for myself at your site related to my project. And since I generally compose material in the forum post itself so I want to keep backup of its post from time to time in my PC in case some eventuality might happen.

I tried to look for it in admintration panel but yet couldn't find a option for that. Yeah I read about some forum restoration option from forum utils but I just don't wanna restore anything but need a backup of all my post to my PC from time to time. Is there a way to do that? I would be very much obliged to you if you can help me in this matter sir. Or else I have to save all post pages to my computer one by one, which certainly is cumbersome.

Backups are done automatically once every 24 hours and are made available via the forums utilities which can be found here: https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/

You can't take a backup yourself because you don't have any access to the FM Database.

However backups are done and you can access them yourself.

Dear Derri,

Thanks for your prompt reply. But the link you provided doesn't have the option I was looking for. Actually I wanted all the posts or post pages to be backed up on my PC. Backing up means just the copy ...I mean I usaully don't have the original with me ..and that forum is for some NLP related research work. So I wud like to have its latest copy with me for any eventuality. i.e You might delete or restrict my forum for any whatsoever reasons of yours ..as you stated somewhere in your rules guidelines. Or I might wanna transfer some of the posts to some other forum of mine ...things like that. Not talking about some server problem here U C. I heard somewhere that ppl can transfer the content (posts) from one forum into the other. Maybe I just create some new forum with all together new name at your site and wanna transfer some or all post to that forum to save time. So that's what I was looking for.

But I think I have to go for individual page download for time being ...smile.

Anyway thanks ...and by the way your's a good site indeed ..am impressed with all those options and things. Thanks for registering me here. Who knows I don't get into that eventuality after all. Wink

(Note: Yeah one more favour if you don't mind. How can I customize the main logo img (Darkskin by matti) thing ...the one that has the address of my forum cosmos.boards-directory.com on the top left corner.)

Please start a new topic for issues/questions that are not related.

I believe I understand what you mean, but Forumotion does not have the option. You will have to manually copy and paste the post in a program like Notepad and save it to your PC. You can not transfer data from one forum to another.
