Guests cannot register

Hi, every time someone tries to register on our site they get the error...
Sorry, but this username has already been taken.
We only have 3 people registered from a while ago and we have tried numerous names knowing that they are not registered but still get this same error message, obviously until this is fixed no one can register, please help! Thanks

Go to ACP --> Security --> General --> Disallow registration with the commonly most spam usernames --> No --> Save

This should allow registration with all types of usernames.
