Yes it is nice, but I think the word that best describes it is "Boring", but sometimes professional graphics are boring. Is anyone blown away by Facebooks logo?



No, but it serves it purpose. I think professional sites (sites that make money) don't want to appear too groovy so they tone everything down to a dull roar. You know having cool graphics is for people that like to have fun and enjoy artwork, and most professional sites don't want that image of having fun or being cool, that want to appear business like so people have confidence in the management when they go to buy something or advertise with them.

It looks like a blank black square or background of a thumbnail, sorry I can't say this is nice. Readability should have taken more of a priority. The image and text are virtually invisible to the naked eye rendering the image as nothing more than a blank black square. At first glance on a webpage one might suspect an apps didn't load in the black space provided.
