I joined back in 2008. I wanted to help out members who needed help with their forums and in 2011, I was asked to the support moderators. Out of the current volunteers, I am the longest serving staff member. Smile

I could tell that no one commands around here because all of you are more likely friendly and that's why we have such a success as a support! Let's hope all of you continue like that and help people as you do know! All the best to all of you and a great Thanks to all staff for the help and the support they gave us! Happy New Year to all!

Despite our different levels of experience, we all work together as a team. You are correct in saying 'no one commands' because we all have an equal say in things when making decisions. Thank you for your comments, they are most appreciated. Very good

@Base, If you could change the color of any staff group, which would it be and to what color?

@Ange Tuteur, What is your favorite coding language that you have learned? Which would you recommend to newbies?

Since you are now considered staff....

@Jadster what would you say was the best moments, or rather the biggest milestone you have achieved on forumotion (besides today of course because that blows everything else out the water)?

@brandon_g,
The best moment or biggest milestone I would to have achieved on Forumotion would be to have found Forumotion in the first place. I know it sounds cheesy but to me that is.

Actually, the most important is HTML in my opinion, because without HTML you can't write CSS or JS and PHP aswell. Everyone need to start with HTML, it's most important but don't waste time on HTML5 because it's harder, newbiew need to know only to add class, ids and to extract them.
Then, learn CSS. Here on forumtion is very important, and then JS. This case is just for forumotion, if you want to start creating platforms or websites with your own Control Panel and others, you need to learn PHP and MySQL. There isn't any "favorite" coding language or a recommend one, each one is important somewhere.

Post by levy January 15th 2015, 7:47 pm

@Jadster if you want to mean why, I started working for a girl to be honest, I liked a girl in 6th grades and I wanted to edit photos for her so much, but she don't enjoyed my graphics and I swipped from modelations and photos edits to web design. Most important for my graphic "life" was Forumgratuit, the romanian support forum. There I started doing web graphics, and I stepped slowly into this new trend. Photoshop in my city in 2010 was so "omg" and you were like a no lifer if you don't knew Photoshop. Photoshop changed my life totaly, was a pleasure to work with it. From photoshop, I gone to CSS then to HTML and in the end, jQuery, and yes my first knew language was CSS, because I don't knew anything about HTML.
About how I learned photoshop, I downloaded a lot of @Mike PSDs to see effects and other things. This is most of my photoshop story, and first steps until now

@brandon_g
well my favorite holiday is Halloween . i love to deck the whole house out in spiderwebs and so on. i plan on 1 year making a giant haunted house just haven't had the money to do so yet

@Worst Nightmare
my fav system would have to be windows even tho i haven't messed around on the others very much

as far as the best for coding i would have to say windows again because there is alot more software release for it then any other system

as for my phone i have a Nokia Lumia windows 8 phone at first i hated it because i was so use to androids now that i have gotten use to it and learned the 100's of features already built into the phone i love it .. guess only bad thing i can say is the camera on it need a flash but in day light it takes the best photos

My favorite Holiday is also Halloween! Or maybe St. Patrick's Day...naw, I'm gonna stick with Halloween. Love me some Halloween fun. Seeing all of the costumes that the children have when they come for candy is a lot of fun!

nice, i like windows but i would like to use macs as well for coding but i don't like to choose one thing over the other but more for coding, since i am an iT person, finished my certifications and working on a few more, windows are far better and as for Apple, i like their Ipads and iphones  and their operating system that now has a feature called handoff that lets you toggle between devices to and sync with everything they have.
