#896 Register page while connected
Hello!
I came across a situation that does not presume to be normal. My friend from work Hancki informed me that it is not normal to get create a new account while connected with a user through /register. I feel that he is right.
Except that I also realized that this function is part of a tool in Control Panel. It's only access General> Rules and FAQ> Additional Rules>...
Is it normal?
Thanks

Re: #896 Register page while connected
I am having trouble understanding what you are trying to say. Do you mean when a member is logged in he sees create an account on the register page?

Re: #896 Register page while connected
Hello!
Yes For example, I am connected to your forum (started a session, right?), Then I access the registration page: http://forumotionexample.forumotion.com/register Suddenly, if I accept the terms, I can continue with the steps to create the account after filling out all fields of the registration form.
You could see the problem? Actually, I'm not sure if it's a problem for sure.

Re: #896 Register page while connected
True you can create a new user by simply accessing the webpage.forummotion.com/register - the registration-process itself is also fully functional. So yes it is possible. I am not sure how it is a problem - strangest thing is that you stay logged in through the entire process. Upon activation of the new account, you return to your former user - thus you are actually never logged out through the process (except when the registration is final - however as said, clicking the activation link will log you into your *old* account).
I don't think it's a problem. But a bug it may be.
Re: #896 Register page while connected
Buttercup can answer me tomorrow (although I know it is a technical problem).
Re: #896 Register page while connected
Buttercup will not be back until Tuesday.
After someone logs in, they should not even see the register button. Why was that member looking at the register page?

Hello SLGray,
Make you the test itself. Be connected on a forum and try to register the account and see attached technical problem.
About Buttercup, but I knew she would return only on Tuesday, but the problem is that this topic can not be in the support industry for more than two days without answers, is not it?
See you!

Re: #896 Register page while connected
When I tried it, it loaded the information I had already in my account on the support forum.

Re: #896 Register page while connected
Well, but that happens with any forum, do not need to be Administrator. Have you tried testing with a forum?SLGray wrote:When I tried it, it loaded the information I had already in my account on the support forum.
Thanks by reply friend!
Re: #896 Register page while connected
I tried it on my forum, and the information I had was filled in already, except for username, email address, and password.

Re: #896 Register page while connected
In fact, just try a simple registration as a new member. Enter new data and your account is created normally even connected with your account. Ie if you are in your account you can abrri new users with Administrator or not.
Re: #896 Register page while connected
I will report this to Buttercup.

Re: #896 Register page while connected
If it is okay :
If you don't want to display the register page for members logged in, add the following to javascript management in all the pages.
It should redirect to homepage if they access the register page while logged it.
