Emoticons Problem
Hi
Okie dokie, I'm a bit fed up with the emoticon thing for forums, I'm actually on phone when I posted this and once again, the emoticons are not okay.
I would provide a screenshot but I'm lagging really hard right now so to sum my problem up, the emoticons on the right whenever I post on a FM forum stretches all the wayyyyy down which renders posting here or any other site harder AND longer.
Please fix this for FM mobile and desktop deprived users like me .
And yes, I tried my other phone and a different internet source.
Regards,
Pizza Boi

Re: Emoticons Problem
Hmm.. The iframe does have its height and width set, but that doesn't seem to be the case on your phone. If you could, maybe you can try to see if setting the iframe dimensions by a CSS rule would work instead :
- Code:
#smiley-box iframe { width:160px; height:300px; }
Re: Emoticons Problem
Hi
Well, I can't exactly edit FM's CSS lol. Anyway, if someone could verify they have the same situation as I do when posting here via phone, that'd be great so you guys can do a minor fix that'll be a big help~
If needed, I was using an iPhone 4S in the picture.

Re: Emoticons Problem
You said it happens on other forums too. If you have access to a test forum you could try that code there.

Re: Emoticons Problem
Since the iframe didn't work try resizing the container instead :
- Code:
#smiley-box { width:160px; height:300px; }
Re: Emoticons Problem
Hi Pizza, be aware if u add this code, it will only apply to the forum it's applied to not to all forum's you visit.
This is a flaw the current system, you can either raise this to Buttercup, or post as a suggestion.
However I'd also suggest since your on the French support, bring it up over there as that way the devs will read it pretty quickly.

Hi
Actually, this is the reason why I posted it here, so other than Buttercup, other users would notice this.
I'll contact a staff in the French support, also, if ever the update happens for emoticons, would the Blogs also get affected or is this strictly for forums only?

I think it's strictly for the forums.

Please stop posting erroneous answers. This is your second reminder.

That is unknown to us, it would be to the devs discretion to make that call. If it was applied to specifically the forums you can then bring it up again and mention it hasn't been applied to the blogs, but that may need to brought up on the blog support forum.

Re: Emoticons Problem
Hi
Okay, I'll just bring it up to them in due time. I already know what to do about it and have started a topic in the French Support Forum so I'd like to keep this topic open until I know it's fixed.
