Hello

How can I remove the Category or Topic, I'm not sure what it is, called "Topics". It's not in the AP - Category and Forums - and I can't open it to delete it. Why is it split from the rest of the forums. Thank you

It was already there when I took the forum over. I moved topics out of there into a locked forum. I might have been locked, I don't recall now.

? I haven't done anything. If you look at the pic I uploaded, I can't remove the bottom half that says "topic" and underneath is says "no messages"

I can't open it, it's not in the AP panel, how do I remove it?

No it's not in Administration Panel > General > Forum > Categories & Forums. I made sure the Categories and Forums are all expanded. If you refer back to my screen shot up thread, you will see Sweet Home Alabama is the last Forum, expanded it looks like this. There isn't anything after that in the AP.

That is a forum that has sub-forums.  The reason why it has topics at the bottom is because it is for the forum as a whole.

It had sub forums in it, I moved them out into the appropriate forums. Does it have to stay there, why isn't it showing in the AP and is there no way of deleting it?

I came across another one or two, and want to understand why that happens. If I can't do anything with it, I would think it's useless space and would like to delete it.

Move any topics in it to another section. Then delete the whole section and redo it.

There aren't any topics in there. How do I delete it, if I can't open it, I can't "jump to" it, and it isn't in the AP.

The other problem is just like that one, however I cannot move any topics out. It won't let me.

What causes the page to split like that? I would like to understand in order for that not to happen. I took over this forum and have noticed this in a few areas.

Hello ^^

What you are showing is normal

In a forum you can store :
- Other forums (appearing on top of your screenshot)
- Special topics (Announces, stickies ...)
- Normal topics

If you dont want any topics there, you dont need to have a forum but you should use a category instead.

Thank you all for the explanations. I don't understand why it's split the way it is or how it got there.

The forums above are in it's own category. I have no use for the one on the bottom, so I was looking to remove it.

I believe there is not a way to hide that, unless you make a category and have each one as a forum.
