One domain, two forums - how?
I have two forumotion forums and I would like to share the same domain name. For example, I want one site to be alpha.domainname.com and the other beta.domainname.com The domain name is registered through forumotion or I could easily make the change myself in a basic DNS editor - but I don't believe I have access to any DNS with the domain since it was originally purchased and renewed by Forumotion.
Is that possible, can I edit any of the DNS for a domain owned by forumotion?

Re: One domain, two forums - how?
Are you referring to a domain name or the original forum address?
Original Address: forum.forumotion.com
Domain Name: forum.com
If you mean original address, it is not possible to have two forums with the same name. Also a domain name can not be used on two forums at the same time.

Re: One domain, two forums - how?
I am talking about a real domain name, not the forumname.forumotion.net.
With the domain name it is absolutely possible to have two sites, forums, whatever with the same domain using sub domains as I pointed out in my original post.
Boys.txsoccer.net can be directed to one forum and girls.txsoccer.net can go to another. It is a simple cname entry in the dns settings. Can someone their assist me with it or give me access to the domain you control?
Thanks in advance!

Re: One domain, two forums - how?
It depends on what level you say domain, but yes. I have two forums and I want a different sub domain for each. I believe my examples above are quite clear.
I really just need to add one cname record to the domain for the second site.

Re: One domain, two forums - how?
Hello ^^
Domain name bought from Forumotion is designed for exclusive use on the board from where it has been bought.
Forumotion domains are provided with one and only one subdomain -> www
What you are asking for is possible through an external domain.
Let's imagine you created two boards.
-> http://my1stforum.forumotion.com
-> http://my2ndforum.forumotion.net
You will buy mydomain.com
All y need is to create 2 CNAME entries
one -> my1stforum.forumotion.com
two -> my2ndforum.forumotion.net
So
- http://one.mydomain.com and http://my1stforum.forumotion.com will bring your visitors to your 1st board
- http://two.mydomain.com and http://my2ndforum.forumotion.net will bring them to your second board.
But you won't be able to force redirection from basic url to your domain url
-> http://my1stforum.forumotion.com won't redirect to http://one.mydomain.com
-> http://my2ndforum.forumotion.net won't redirect to http://two.mydomain.com
Hope I have been clear enough

Re: One domain, two forums - how?
Yes, very clear. Unfortunately my domain was purchased through forumotion so I cannot make any changes like you mentioned. I was hoping since both my forums were forumotion forums that I could get the cname changed so my one forumotion domain can point to my two forumotion forums.
