My Forum isn't loading for some mebers
Hello.
my theme: phpBB3 (prosilver)
web address: http://llfmrpg.forumotion.com/
Even after deleting cookies and trying everything possible. Site is extremely sluggish and cannot quote posts, nor make long ones from their DS devise. Browser is Chrome. browser provider cannot be altered on device.
"I have to type a few random letters, then go to preview, at which point deletes everything that I typed before pressing preview. Then I can start typing. So if I forget and type this big long post before pushing preview, too bad" -member
My site used to work for member just fine but after a few months it quit. Other forums work correctly. I have not altered any coding but for guided repairs. and repairs to fix chat box bugs, members problem happened before those alterations.
Anny assistance will be great. and any codes anyone may have to fix it. thank you.

Forum is fast for me. Loads pretty quick. It's probably you're computer.
Re: My Forum isn't loading for some mebers
That's not the issue. and when you are a member the forum is massive. Its another member having the problem. Some have left or stopped posting for similar reasons. But other forums seem to work correctly. I am hoping there is not a glitch. or if there is a CSS code I can use to correct the issue.
Re: My Forum isn't loading for some mebers
It sounds like an issue with the devices that your members are using. Is this only happening to mobile device users?

two of them yes. Other mobile devices are working. The one left my site because of it. The one still around. is using a DS. I have a sister site through a friend which is forumotion as well. This 1 user has no trouble on the other site. Only mine. Which is why I suspect a glitch , bug, or code error. Tablets seem to work correctly, most phones. but they can't use Mobile. Mobile version is nothing but problematic. So that all go to desktop view.SLGray wrote:It sounds like an issue with the devices that your members are using. The member has taken all steps possible to correct it, the problem still exists when quoting. As well as lag.

Do you have JavaScripts? If you do, turn off JavaScript Management and see if they can use their mobile devices.

Javascript is and has been off.SLGray wrote:Do you have JavaScripts? If you do, turn off JavaScript Management and see if they can use their mobile devices.
I did have a code in there that I tested in July (The problem dates back farther). But it was not enabled.
I deleted the one code. Then enabled java, then disabled again. Will let you know if that does anything.
Re: My Forum isn't loading for some mebers
The problem with the loading might be due to their devices. But if more than one person is using the same type of method, and the other is working, then I'd suggest clearing cache or browsing history on the electronic. But if not able to, I would recommend you to turn on the JavaScript, then turn it off. Sometimes the button/coding might be glitched, and so that is what many people have done, which it results in a solution. Although if that does not effect the working process, then bring it up to an Administrator or ask around your Forums for help... As we might be wrong.

Are the members having the issues using the same browser?

Re: My Forum isn't loading for some mebers
they cannot change the browser on the device. Resetting java script did speed it up for the member, but now they can't even type in the reply boxes. But currently all Forumotion is glitching. I will wait until that problem is fixed. so put this on hold until then.
Re: My Forum isn't loading for some mebers
We are having a number of problems with the forums right now lets hope when this is all fixed your member will have no problems.
