member is registered but can't post
i have a member who apparently can and says he is logged in but can't post. he keeps recieving this message..
When I try to post, a sentence appears and says my user name is somebody else's?
I don't know why, or how to fix it. Thanks.
i checked members list and there is only one member with this user name, and it belongs to his email
thanks in advance

Try this:
Administration Panel => General => Forum => Security => Unauthorize subscriptions made with the most commonly used spam usernames. : No
And view the other security options there.

Re: member is registered but can't post
I placed a topic in the General Off Topic forum, and it allows me to post.
Maybe you have changed the permissions.
Go to the Administration Panel => General => Forum => Categories & Forums => Press the
button at the forum where your member cannot post, then check if members can reply to a topic or create a topic.

Re: member is registered but can't post
Your forum should be safe as long as you don't give him Administration Panel access.
Re: member is registered but can't post
So the member is saying that he/she gets a error message with a different username?

Hello
Could you please post:
- Url of your forum
- Username of the member + url of his profile
- He cannot post on all the forum or just one section. If only one section, thanks for sending the link of the section?
- Give a screenshot of the sentence when the user tries to post
Thanks in advance
