My forum hacked

A friend somehow got my Admin password and changed the URL name and the Admin password. In other words my forum is hacked.

As you can verify it, the original URL was http://samidish.amharicforum.com/ and the original creation email was Email removed

I got an email message from you the following... Admin (Ip Address: Removed) modified the address of the forum samidish.amharicforum.com The forum is now available on this address : http://jaredboss.amharicforum.com

Now this guy is asking me money to get back my forum. How can you help me????

I tried the with link you gave me but it didn't work. It says, 

  The login and the password you specified are wrong.

I used first with the creation email and my last password I was using, the reply is what I posted above.

Again I used My forum internet address and my last password I was using, the reply is the same.

I need further assistance from you.

go there and fill out witch ever form applys to you and send the msg to buttercup

I go this link https://www.forumotion.com/utils and made some changes. then I go to my forum and asked for new password, the reply was email sent to the email I provided. But almost two hours passed without any email with the new password.

check your spam folder ...also it takes longer on some email host

you can try resubmitting it see if it goes threw the second time

but then again they might have been smart enough to go threw and change your email on everything

so you might have to fill out the form and submit it to buttercup if the above don't work

The first thing I checked is the spam folder when it took longer time. I even asked again for new email password but still nothing. So I will wait till this evening. I have already PM to buttercup and hopefully he will assist me. Do you think in spite of the creation email I provided now, will the new password go this guy's email?

if he changed the email probably but to be honest im not really sure what all he has done or how forumotion is setup as far as passwords being sent but im sure buttercup will help you get everything back strait to the best of her ability

The guy has changed the URL, the creation email, and some set up. So I need big help.

butercup will help you with all she can ..as far as your site going back to normal you can do a restore to the day before it was jacked and the url takes 2 secs to change back

Head your title: Forum hacked.
URL of your forum before changed:
URL of the forum Now:
Admin username:
Email address you made the forum with:
Copy of the Email you got when your forum was changed:
Ip address if you have it to hand:

Then we will see if we can backdate your forum and give you a new password.
