Forum removed from Google
My forum has been removed from the Google search engine, and i wonder if you have any advice please? I have had no communication saying that this would happen.

How long ago have you submitted your proposal to the Google SEO? I think it goes away after some time.

Only the parts of your forum that guests can see are indexed by search engines. There should be still some references to your forum. They might have been pushed down the search engine's pages.

Re: Forum removed from Google
My forum was always right up the top of the Google search but now there is no reference whatsoever anywhere, not even pushed further down. It's something to do with robots.txt and Adsense.
I get this message
User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
Disallow:
User-agent: Mediapartners-Google*
Disallow:
But then when I look at the robots.txt for the forumotion page you get the same message, in fact all forumotion sites have the same message so mine is not unique. I just don't understand why I've been booted off Google.
Last year I paid to remove all the ads and this year I paid again. Surely it can't be that?
All other search engines are fine, it's just Google.

Re: Forum removed from Google
Thank you. Yes, I know I can change the forum address but I cannot change it from forumotion.net to forumotion.co.uk
Google is ignoring my forumotion.net address and will not give me a ranking anymore. I have gone from the top slot to having no ranking whatsoever. My forum is 6 years old and a lot of research has been lost on Google now and obviously I'm not happy.
I created a new forum with a forumotion.co.uk address yesterday just to see what happened and that's on google already and I was the only person accessing it.
In fact there doesn't even seem to be an option anymore to create a forum with a forumotion.net address.
This is a forumotion issue and I would be grateful if you can tell me how to fix it. Or maybe you could arrange with Google to restart listing forumotion.net sites on their search engine?

Re: Forum removed from Google
Are you sure its a Forumotion problem. Is it possible that you have been removed from Google for legal or other reasons?

Re: Forum removed from Google
yes, but try to search for jamungo forums or for any of the content and its all gone. There used to be a ton of information indexed, and there still is on search engines like bing.

Re: Forum removed from Google
That's the problem I've got - if I put the whole URL into google it's fine, but try to search for the forum using keywords and I get no result at all even though the forum used to be right at the top of google search.fergbag wrote:

My forum is fine on bing or Yahoo, but nothing on google. And if you look at the robots.txt code forumotion have excluded google for some reason.
I am not happy about this at all.

Re: Forum removed from Google
Our site Come On You Rams - http://dcfc-craic.forumotion.net/ - disappeared from Google this week.
There are literally no links to left on Google where there used to be hundreds.
We were on the first page of Google searches for all our main keywords and phrases.
Our listings on other search engines are not affected.
When I checked what Google has indexed via its Webmaster tools, it shows that we have almost 12,000 pages.
I can also see that Google robots are still trawling our pages every day.
I am wondering if we have been caught by Google's search algorithm which will not display sites with identical content, because we have two domain names but the content is the same for both.
As well as the one given above, we also bought comeonyourams.co.uk years ago.
Do we have to give up comeonyourams.co.uk in order to appear on Google again?
Any ideas or advice would be very welcome.

Re: Forum removed from Google
Still no reply from forumotion about this problem.
Is it because forumotion recently changed their datacentre and messed things up?

Re: Forum removed from Google
It seems like Formation sites are being blocked for some reason. I remember a while back they were blocking  the formation domain due to Hacker abuse or something like that.
Here is the thread on that:
