Improving the look of my forum - suggestions?

Hi all. I'm thinking about ways in which I can improve the look of my forum. Everything is fine and works well as of now, but I've seen other PHPBB3 forums that look nicer. Any suggestions?

You could change some of the icons..eg a baseball bat or ball for posts and
a glowing baseball bat or ball for a new post.

Change The Theme to a more colourful one =D

If your background is as it appears made up of baseball cards you could make your forum background slightly transparent to show a ghosting through your forum.
Also try toning down the white background a little.
