Transfer of Forum Owner

I'm currently the holder/owner of my forum.
How can I transfer the ownership to another person.

The transferring is quite simple in the sense that you, the forum owner give an individual access to your account.

Oh thats easy... you just have to give the new owner the Founder account details and Forum utlities password to the new owner. After this... you should be all set.

Thanks for the quick replies but how do I start.  can I do it in the Admin Panel ?

No... you just pm the new owner the Founder account details... it has to be the Founder's (your current account) account, there can only be 1 Founder and the Founder is pretty much a nessecity because they have the most tools and resources. In other words, the new owner will need to use YOUR account in order to be the owner, you must give him the login password etc.

Here's a dumb question.  where do I find the founder account details.
the person I want to transfer to is already one of the forum Admin team.

You will have to give the person the log in information for the founder.  Then the member can change the other things in the founder account.  You will also need to give the log in information for the forum utilities so the member can change the founder's email address.

If you are wanting to keep your posts, you will have to repost them using your non-founder account.  This also applies to the new founder.  He will have to repost his posts using the founder account.
