My forum got spammed from another forumotion forum members

Hi, i've been told that it is against forumotions rules to ban bisexual or homosexual stuff on your forum? is that really true?

I would just simply read the TOS and that's where you'll find your answer.

According to the ToS, it really is not. A ground that would not be allowed is if and only if insulting or harmful comments were to be made. IF it simply says "Homosexuals/Bisexuals content of any nature are not allowed in this forum." then that is not a problem.

A couple of members from a forum called satellar duel academy had signed up at my forum and starting posting random spam posts in a lot of topics, https://2img.net/h/s24.postimg.cc/5yqyatxsl/Screenshot_16.png my moderators and admins team had deleted those topics but i am sure if you check the archives and IPs (buttercup could do that only i think?) then you can find that the spammers IP is the same IP as some of the members on their forums. after spamming us they accused us that we signed up at their forums and started posting porn websites links, they gave me the username of a the person accused of doing that and there is no one registered at our forums with that name here is an imgur link with all the screen shots needed https://imgur.com/oopBeGB,WjRo979,zzAO7xk,PEUcOyo,4fHha7E the rest can be confirmed by an admin via checking ips and posts archives

A founder can ban anyone he/she wants. The only thing that could cause an issue is if you are posting personal things about them on the forum.

I haven't posted anything on my forum, i just wanted to make a simple rule that posting sexual content about straight or bisexual/homosexual on my forum is NOT allowed, The next thing i got is a couple of people from another forum spamming my forums because of that rule i posted

Forumotion has in place systems to try to stop spammers. Some will still get in. You will have to get an eye out for spammers.

Sadly, this case isn't just some random spammers, some members from other forumotion forum didn't like the rules of my forum so they have decided to group up and come spam my forum with A LOT of topics and posts

There is not really nothing that Forumotion can do to help. What people so on forums is up to themselves. Forumotion will get involved if someone is breaking the Terms of Service. This sounds like a personal issue between two forums.

If someone is posting porn links on your forum then you need to ban that member and remove the links.

Founders have to know what is posted on their forums.

Pizza Boi, I also agree that sadly it grounds for the forum to banned. Its Founder's responsbility to ensure that his/her forum's content stays within Forumotion's TOU, whether that founder relys on his Mods take care of the issue or takes care of it is up to them. A violation of the TOU would only to the site being taken down. Which probably what the spammer wants. Which doesnt help the topic starters issue unfornautelly.

All you can do is keep banning accounts and ips and removed the posts. I know oits a pain but.. Sorry. ;(

spammers came to my forum from another forum and started spamming, then the other forum started accusing us of posting porn links on their forum. anyways that forum has indeed broken the ToS

Their members attacked my forum intentionally and the admins of that forum knew about it and didn't try to stop their members. instead they defended their members and banned me and my staff team from their forum when we tried talking to them

Just ban the members ip address and the Email address and username.

If they make a new account ban that one too after a bit of time they will get board and go away as they will have to keep making a new Email address and make a new account every time

make a note of all the ip's they have and post them in your staff room for your Admin's and mods to keep an eye on any new members.

If the IP address comes up ban it right away.

It is your forum and if you Do not wish to have any of that stuff as a rule then its up to you.

But I would say saying you do not like any of them members on your forum Don't look good on you as it can be seen as Homophobic on your side.

The part that you have marked with the red box refers to something different then spamming. It deals with using codes/hacks to gain access to the database.

I forgot to mark the "spamming" word but i'm sure spamming is all the same in one way or another

they did it intentionally and we had to clean their mess up, we banned IPs and emails but they can simple just come again anytime they decide with new accounts and while no staff members are on then spam

My forum rules state that posting anything sexual is not allowed and by sexual i mean straight or bisexual it doesn't matter it's just simply banned for all parties

You should try to have staff that can be on 24 hours. I mean have staff that have different timezones. Since there is not really nothing we can do to help, can we consider this solved now?

Not yet slgray, a new problem is being caused now. they are signing up with account that have names such as "I AM HOMOSEXUAL", "GAYLORD", etc.. i have banned them for breaking some of the forum rules but now they are claiming that i can't ban them with no good reason and that they will get my forum shut down. so here is my last questions, i am getting sick and tired of them doing this over and over and me having to justify their bans to them every time and they keep ignoring what's being said:

Can i ban anyone i want for no reason? i mean it's my forum and i should be able to do that right?

EDIT: they are spamming my forum now with ligation reports.. @Buttercup can check the whole thing and confirm what's happening

ligation reports reports don't go to you they go to our team you mean that are clicking the Report an abuse button at the bottom of your forum.

have you banned the ip's and the emails ? and think of all the names that you don't want used on your forum and then add them to your banned use rnames list

ACP .. General Tab >> Censorin >> Users Censoring add the names you think they will use and then save

as admin you have the right to ban who every you want when ever you want it is your forum.

END of matter we have no say in who you have on your forum and who you don't

Your welcome @Kirbs Please try Not to get stressed over this ok they will give up in the end if you keep banning them with IP username and Email address.
