Description of problem

Hello again,
There was a global announcement I posted 5 years ago back in the old version of phpbb3now.
Now I cannot read it, let alone edit or delete it. It seems not to belong to any subforum (just like all my pre-migration topics) so I cannot touch it from the moderation panel.

I would like to have access to it again, but barring that, I'd like to delete it.

This looks like a problem we have seen before,

Some time back we have a server problem and it removed / Lost some posts
The problem here is it left a ghost of topic's that could not be removed.

what you can do is Go to your main page where the post id showing and do the following step

Step 1
log in as founders account
go the the category that holds your post you want to remove.
Go to the bottom of the page and look for this

Click the Moderate this forum.

Step 2
Now you should have a page come up with all the threads.

Tick the box next to the ones you want to delete

Then Click Delete it should then remove your posts from our servers.

I'm afraid I already tried that. Like I said a lot of my old threads are actually invisible in the moderator panel of their respective forum. This includes the global announcement I'm locked out of.

That is VERY weird indeed, have you tried you tried re syncing your forum?

You can do this by going into ACP (Admin panel)-->General-->Configuration--> Scroll down to the bottom of the page, you should see towards the bottom 'Re synchorize forum?'. Proceed with the steps to re sync the forum. Let us know if this helps any.

Could you please Pm me with a test account with Admin right's and a link to say 2 posts that have the problem ?

I will then take a look at your settings on the main forum to see why this is going on.

If i can't work out why then i will mark this as pro admin and make a report to the office.

What exactly do you mean by migration?  Do you mean that you transferred a forum to Forumotion?

After reading your post again and the one made by my colleague SLGray if i am getting you right you had a forum hosted by say Phpbb3 the real site and you wanted to move your site to us using the migration tools when you first make your forum so when you asked us to migrate your forum from the old host all your posts and threads was moved from your old servers to our servers and now the really old posts from your old forum are not working ?

If this is the case it sounds like the migration was Not completed 100% right and it was not 100% successful if that is right then there is not really a lot we can do other then ask the tech team to look in to this but as the transfer was already made it may be to late to try and get the data now.

Who was the host of your forum before migration to us,

A small list with screen shots of the posts that are missing I under stand you can not send me links to the posts but the names of the posts and the place where they are posted will help me on making my report.

I'm sorry, I said that wrong.

I did not migrate the forum myself, it was originally hosted by phpbb3now.com, which was merged with forumotion last year (around March 2015 I think). All its old forums were migrated. It's my fault I didn't mention that earlier.

I tried resyncing, it didn't help.
My original address was kydoniaifilm.phpbb3now.com, now its kydoniai.phpbb-3.com.

I have sent you a test admin account by PM.

and yet, it's not listed on the threads when I press "moderate this forum"
Same goes for most of my old threads.
I don't really mind I can't moderate my old threads in general because I can read them, my real problem is that I have a global announcement that's just unreadable. I'm not sure where it originally belonged to, but it should be this forum http://kydoniai.phpbb-3.com/f16-forum

There was indeed a problem like this once before and our Pro-Admin Buttercup has confirmed this issue you are having is very similar and has go ahead and made a report to the techs to look into and then try to fix the issue with the topic on your forum. I am marking your topic Pro-Admin.

The techs should hopefully have a fix soon, in the meantime, we would like to ask for your patience.
