Members Having Problems login In. Board Not Recognizing e-mail address and passwords
Hello
I own the board..

I'm losing members because they are having problems login into the board. Some say the board keep saying they have the wrong email address. Some members say the board tells them the have the wrong password. It's happening a lot. The board told me once that I had the wrong email address and this is the same email address that I registered with. If it hadn't been for my Asst Admin, I would have never gotten in.
What can I do about this problem? I've already asked what browsers they are using and they all are using different browsers.
I'm so tired of losing members. They get tired of these problems and leave.

Hello,
Are you talking about users registering or logging in? Logging in does not require your e-mail address, registering does. You can only have 1 account per e-mail address, so if you try to make another with the same one, you will get this error.

Re: Members Having Problems login In. Board Not Recognizing e-mail address and passwords
Yes, I know login in doesn't require email address, but when they try to login and it says password is incorrect, they try to change it but it won't let them because it says their email is incorrect.
Here's a message I got yesterday..
[quote]Regarding getting into the new group I don't understand why I can post in the "shoutbox" but it won't let me do
anything else and when I try to log in it says the information is incorrect. My email is Email Removed as you
can see and my user name is JustPP and my password has always been memories. But it won't recognise any of it!
What are they doing wrong?
Thanks

Did they type the password 100% correct? If theh get incorrect password message it means they truly must have put it in wrong. I have never experienced getting this message when the correct password has been put in correct 100%. I would say to ask them, to take their time and time it in slowly to ensure they make no typos, they should also make sure their caplocks, etc are off.

Re: Members Having Problems login In. Board Not Recognizing e-mail address and passwords
You may be right. I really don't know if they are typing in their password correct or not. I will ask them again to be very careful in typing in their password and username. I hope that will take care of the problem.
Thank you so much for your help. I'm sure you're right.

If they are having problems still Reset there passwords in the ACP and then send them a Email from your ACP saying that you changed there Password and there to use that one To log in
After they have logged in ask them to change the password them self in the Profiles settings
This step is much faster and then the member can make sure there password is 100% right next time.
