Solved What happens in " Start watching this Topic " ? mode when a topic isn't being watched

When I ( the administrator ) is not watching a topic . What does that mean ?

That I will not see replies ?

Users can't reply ?

Users can't see the topic ?

Does anything change for users when I start watching or stop watching a topic ?

What is different for me ? A notification by email ? Or just in the notifications ?

Users can still see the topic, they can reply and see the replies. If you click on "Stop watching this topic", you will not get any E-Mail or toolbar notifications.

Both watch/stop watch topic and watch/stop watch forum do the same thing.  They do not effect the permissions for the forums.
