Bots registering on forum(or something else)
Hello,
Lately i've noticed weird accounts registering on my forum. Most of them have weird names and .ru domains. None of them have visited the forum.I suspect it's some kind of a bot attack.I have banned all of them.I'm looking forward to a reply as soon as possible.Thanks.

I think you must use wildcard * to ban those e-mails addresses here is an example of banning e-mail addresses *@spamhosterurl.ru by this way you can ban all e-mail addresses from the spam mail hoster. By using this method you will disallow them from fake registration e-mails.

Well, sometimes people will register, but not log in.

Hello,
What SLGray says is true, whenever I get a new account on my forum, even if it sounds looks like it might be a spambot/spammer, I don't ban, I instead let it stay there, if and when it posts, I will know then whether or not it is a spammer/spambot and then ban it. That way I don't rism banning potential new members by mistake.
