BBcode - BBcodes appearing when typing replies?

Description of problem

I'm making a RPing forumotion site and we use BBcode for the character templates and other things. On the last site which I RPed on, this problem never occurred.

Here's how it goes. One would copy the BBcode from say, a character template and post it into their response then hit preview before they would head back to editing and putting in the needed information for the character form. However, instead of the hitting of preview fixing the BBcode to all normal text with the effects added, the result is jumbled text in the editing box that still has BBcode visually in it.

In general, I wish to remove having the BBcode coding showing itself and leave only the effects even when editing the replies.

Are you using normal mode or WYSIWYG mode in the editor?

I think I'm using WYSIWYG, is that the problem?
