Maintenance: will be back in a few minutes is taking a long time now

Description of problem

I was away for just an hour and when I came back, there was a announcement of maintenance in progress when I tried to refresh my forum page. It obviously says that my forum will be back in a few minutes, unfortunately, it takes a 30 minutes already....

It once started an infinite loop of loading and then Chrome kicked me out, "can not load this page". Happens with every browser and only this forum. I can visit a lot of forums without any problem, but this one isn't even letting me as founder getting access to it.

How much longer will this maintenance take???

That's the problem, I can't even check the email which I created this forum with, possibility might be it's created with an ikbenspamvrij (10 minute) mail D:

I haven't seen the maintenance announcement in years when I tried to reach one of my forums.

I'm logged in right now, after a few tries with forum address. But I can't access forum nor administration panel from the utilities. Still gives me that maintenance in progress announcement >.<

Ok.  What were you doing right before this happened?  Did you modify anything or add codes?

Right before I left I added codes and css to templates and css page in colors, which I did save ofcourse when I left and tried it. When I did refresh my page, nothing seemed to be wrong at that time.

Edit 8:15 PM:
After at least 2 hours the forum is finally back online (but still loading very slowly), but it took too long for that "will be back in a few minutes"! Hopefully this can be reduced back to those few minutes and hopefully it could be found out why this "sudden" maintenance started to take over the forum.

And the maintenance announcement is back again >.<

Yesterday there was a little incident with database servers. That's why some of you may have seen the maintenance screen. Can you confirm that everything is working as usual now?

@brandon_g I had provided a screenshot of problem at my first message.

@Leviosa Ah that's why. Well as it seems right now, everything is working again, just as usual.

Thank you for the help and for finding out what the reason of the sudden maintenance was! Problem is solved now I guess
