Forum list inline-block

Hello. I want to put forum list in blocks, so one row could have two columns of forum titles. To put it in a simpler way, I want to make the same thing that is done on this help forum.

So, it has to appear not like this:


But like this:

I managed to do this in phBB3 version but I find it very uncomfortable and I prefer phbb2, so I wonder if its possible to do it on this version.
